Description
38 Clwyd Street is a two-storey building that forms part of a group with 36 Clwyd Street. It consists of two cottages, with the right cottage featuring more closely spaced windows. The structure is made of squared coursed stone and has a slate roof, with two brick stacks positioned behind the ridge. Each cottage has doorways with elliptical-arched heads located to the right. The windows are hornless sash types in moulded frames under wedge lintels, with 12 panes on the ground floor and 3-over-6 panes on the first floor. Skylights are present on the roof pitch.
No 38 features a 6-panel door with a plain-glazed overlight to the right and a 12-pane sash window to the left. At the rear, there is a half-glazed door to the left beneath an elliptical arch made of stone voussoirs, along with a small 2-light casement window on the upper storey. A small gabled attic dormer contains a 2-light casement. To the right, there is a shallow outshut with a 3-light small-pane wooden window and a 2-light casement window above. Adjoining to the far right is a long single-storey rendered wing, which is likely a later addition. The interior has not been seen.
