Description
Rolan is a pair of 2-storey cottages built of brick with stone dressings, retaining their external appearance. The cottages have a hipped slate roof featuring a central ridge stack. The front has two windows, with sash windows consisting of 12 panes in the upper storey and 16 panes in the lower storey, along with doorways at each end—one modern on the right and one planked on the left. A mid-20th century casement window has been added above the left door. The side walls also have similar sash windows. On the rear elevation, there are 9-pane sashes beneath wedge lintels, with planked doors on both the left and right. The cottages retain their original rainwater goods, and attached to the rear are brick walls forming a small yard.
