Description
Maes-y-gro is a pair of one-and-a-half storey houses dating from the 18th century, designed in a simple Tudor style. The buildings are constructed of brick and topped with a slate roof, featuring coped stone gables and dormers resting on moulded kneelers. A central square brick chimney stack is present. The front elevation has two windows, with half dormers that contain 2-light mullioned windows featuring small-pane casements set in dressed stone surrounds. The lower storey has larger 2-light mullioned windows, also with hood moulds. Each wing has doorways framed in stone with hood moulds, with a boarded door on the left and a replaced door on the right. Small-pane casements are located in each gable of the wings. The rear elevation includes half-dormers with sash windows and casement windows in the lower storey. Although not inspected in November 1996, the property has since been converted into a single dwelling.
