Description
Carreg Afon Farmhouse is a two-storey building with a two-unit plan, featuring a baffle entry by a gable end stack and a central doorway, which is likely a later addition, set within a lattice-work lean-to porch. The right-hand window is a two-light wood mullioned and transomed window, while the left-hand window is a 16-pane sash. Above, there are 9 and 16-pane sash windows beneath gabled dormers, along with an inserted window above the porch. The house has been extended to the east to include a range of outbuildings, such as a wash-house, granary, and cartshed. There is a plank doorway to the right and a loft doorway accessed by steps beyond. The cart shed on the left features a rough timber lintel, and there are two fixed light windows on the first floor. The rear elevation includes a fixed-light 12-pane window to the left, a doorway to the left of the far stack in the latticed porch, with a 12-pane window alongside, and a doorway leading to the wash house beyond.
