Description
The embankment wall to the railway, which includes the area below the station, is a Grade II listed structure. It features a high coursed revetment wall that is topped with cast iron railings and has stone corbels located below the parapet. The wall extends from the western building on the 'down' platform, running behind the overbridge and stepping down slightly beyond the eastern end of the platform. It abuts the pier of the Llangollen Bridge, which is located beyond the northern pointed arch. The wall continues a short distance eastwards, where it has a stepped parapet at the point where the railway diverges from the course of the river bank.
