Description

The agricultural range at Llwyn-Uchaf is an F-shaped structure that includes a primary barn to the north, an L-shaped addition to the south, and a large hipped-roofed range adjoining beyond. The building is constructed from rubble with slate roofs, featuring some brick used for openings and infill areas. The primary barn has a box-framed timber core that is visible from the outside, encased in rubble, and has uncoped gable parapets with roughly-kneelered edges. There are two central entrances with brick cambered heads and boarded doors, along with cambered openings to the right and far right. Ventilation slits are located on the upper left, and there are three 3-light wooden windows under the eaves to the right. The east gable end features a large opening with boarded double doors and 20th-century brick infill above a concrete lintel. The west gable has two cambered entrances with stable doors.

To the south of the primary barn is an L-shaped range that includes another barn, likely from the 17th century, with gable parapets similar to the primary barn, and a link section made of brick and rubble. This link section has an opening with a stable door on its east side, along with additional openings to the left and diagonally above, the former being cambered and the latter located under the eaves. Further south is a taller long hipped range constructed from rubble and brick. The interior was not inspected during the survey.
