Description

The entrance gates at Rug are flanked by square-section piers topped with shallow pyramidal copings, which also mark the ends of the low quadrant walls on either side. The railings feature scrolled arrow heads and are raised on quadrant plinth walls. The gates themselves have an ornate overthrow and side panels, displaying a wave-bar pattern on the support and lock bar, along with arrow head dog rails.
