Description

Pon Melin Rug Bridge, likely constructed in the early 18th century, resembles local bridges over the River Dee at Corwen, Carrog, and Cynwyd. The bridge is made of coursed and squared stone and features three segmental arches with voussoirs and hood moulds. There are pilasters flanking the central arch on the east side and cutwaters on the west side. A projecting string course runs along the base of the parapet, which is topped with flat slate copings. The bridge has a slightly canted plan, with the ends splayed out at each end.
