Description

The Hay Barn at Colomendy Hall is a 19th-century structure built from rubble with brick piers and a slate roof. It features five bays supported by tall, well-finished brick piers that rise from linked stone piers, which relate to an earlier building. At the left end, there is an additional range of similar construction with a simple rubble base, set at right angles, and the first two bays project forward, creating a T-shaped plan.

The roof is supported by scissor-braced trusses, a design style that is common among other buildings on the Colomendy Estate from this period.
