Description
Swan Cottage is a Georgian three-storey house with two windows, part of a nearly mirrored pair. The front is pebble-dashed, topped with a slate roof that has a skylight on the right and a pebble-dashed stack on the left. On the right side, there is a replacement half-glazed door beneath a bracketed gabled canopy. All windows have been recently renewed in their original openings. To the left of the entrance, there is a small-pane fixed window, and above it are four-pane horned sash windows, with the upper-storey window centrally located beneath a gable featuring barge boards.
On the left gable end, there is a small window on the left side of the middle storey. The rear of the house includes a two-storey added gabled wing on the left side, an added conservatory on the right side, a replacement window on the upper left, and two added skylights.
The house originally had a double-depth plan. The ground-floor front room still retains a fireplace with a large stone lintel.
