Description
The agricultural range at Gwern Felin is a late 18th-century structure built from rubble on boulder foundations, featuring slate roofs with exposed rafter ends. The building consists of two sections. The left section is one-and-a-half stories high and has two bays. It includes an entrance on the right with a half-stable door and a window opening to the left, along with a smaller window above. There is external stepped access leading to a boarded upper entrance at the south gable end.
The longer section on the right is a single-storey structure that steps down and has weathercoursing where the two sections meet. It has two entrances similar to the left section, with an unglazed window to the right. There is an additional entrance further to the right, accompanied by a two-part window with a wooden frame and mullion. A 20th-century lean-to with a corrugated iron roof is attached to the right side.
Inside, the left section has a two-bay layout, while the right section has a four-bay layout. Both sections feature pegged oak collar trusses, along with renewed purlins and rafters.
