Description

This is a three-and-a-half-storey shop and house, built as a single range with the adjacent property. The front is faced with whitened pebble-dash, with black-painted smooth-rendered detailing, and has a slate roof with a decorative dentil eaves cornice and a skylight. A shared brick chimney stack stands to the right, and a roughcast stack is to the left. The modern shop front features recessed half-glazed, margin-lit panel doors, an overlight with margin glazing, and flanking plate glass windows with margin-glazed lights above transoms. A panelled house door is located at the left end, also with a margin-glazed overlight. The front is framed by panelled pilasters and end brackets supporting a modern fascia. The first and second floors have windows offset to the left, with horned sashes in eared architraves. The first floor has a plain sash window of 3 over 2 panes to the left, and a canted oriel window to the right, both with similar glazing patterns. The second floor windows are of 6 over 2 panes. The rear, which was not inspected, is roughcast and retains small-pane sashes and includes a ground-floor extension.
