Elsinore Hotel, St George's Crescent

The Elsinore Hotel is a three-storey building with a basement and attic, constructed in stucco with a rusticated ground floor and a slate roof. The front has five windows. At the attic level, there is a central dormer featuring a triangular pediment with relief decoration above paired sash windows. The outer bays have dormers with semi-circular pediments and single sash windows, also with relief decoration. A modillion cornice runs along the top, and there is a moulded band course between the cornice and the second-floor windows. The second-floor windows are all 12-pane sashes set in lugged architraves. On the first floor, the sash windows lack glazing bars and are framed by moulded architraves, with the central window topped by a segmental pediment. The central doorway is flanked by two sash windows on each side. Steps lead up to a veranda, which features art deco detailing on the railings, and there are four lamp standards beside the stairs.
