Description
5a St George's Place is part of a group of buildings at Nos. 4, 5, and 5A St George's Place in Llandudno. This structure features four storeys and an attic, with a five-window block that includes ground floor shops and tea rooms on the first and second floors. The exterior is rendered and topped with a slate roof, which has five gabled dormers fitted with sash glazing. The building has bracketed cornices and quoins.
The third floor windows are adorned with quoined architraves and horned sash glazing. The second floor windows also feature cornices and sash glazing. On the first floor, the outer bays have bay windows with sash glazing and iron cresting. Connecting these, the central section of the building has a broad length of glazing with convex corners that is stepped forward. The ground floor has 20th-century shopfronts and a verandah with four bays, supported by tall iron columns that have capitals and bases.
