Somerset Hotel, St George's Crescent

The Somerset Hotel, located on St George's Crescent, is a Grade II listed building that combines two five-window structures to create a front elevation of ten windows. The hotel features a stucco exterior with a rusticated ground floor and a slate roof. It stands three storeys tall, with a basement and an attic. The windows are sash style without glazing bars, although modern casements have replaced the original windows at the attic level.

On the left side, the attic includes a central dormer with a triangular pediment, while the outer bays feature dormers with semi-circular pediments. A modillion cornice runs along the top, and there is a moulded band course situated between the cornice and the second-floor windows. All second-floor windows are sashes set within lugged architraves. The first-floor windows are also sashes without glazing bars, framed in moulded architraves, with the central window topped by a segmental pediment. The central doorway is adorned with a triangular pediment, flanked by two sash windows on either side. The right-hand block mirrors the left, but at the attic level, it features a dormer with a semi-circular pediment over two windows, flanked by dormers with triangular pediments.
