Description
The former toll-gate dates from the 19th century and is made of rolled wrought iron flat bars. It features T-section top and bottom rails, along with a latch stile. The square section hanging stile rises above the top rail and ends in an urn-shaped finial. Flat bars extend from two quadrant-shaped gusset plates located in the corners next to the hanging stile, creating a lattice design. These bars are riveted to the rails and stiles at their intersections. The gateposts are circular and slightly tapered, designed as columns with plain capitals. To the east, there is a wrought angle-iron turnstile.
