Description

Ty Newydd and No 5 Church Street is a 2-storey, 2-window former single house constructed from rubble-stone walls. It features a black-painted rendered plinth, architraves, and an upper-storey sill band, topped with a slate roof and end brick stacks. The central doorway has a recessed replacement half-glazed door with an overlight above it. To the right of the doorway is a 16-pane horned sash window, while to the left is a half-glazed panel door leading to No 5, which was originally a window. The upper storey includes two 12-pane horned sash windows.

On the left gable end (No 5), there is an inserted small-pane sash window to the right, a similar window to the left set under a stone lintel, and a 9-pane horned sash window in the upper left, which is set under a brick segmental head. The building has a lower rear wing that is an addition. The rear of the building features a blocked central doorway that has been converted into a window, along with a segmental 9-pane sash window in the upper left. This property is part of a group that includes Ty Newydd and No 5 Church Street.
