24 Princess Bingo and Social Club

Princess Bingo and Social Club, located at 20-24 Princes Drive in Colwyn Bay, is a 2-storey building constructed from plain printed brick with a rendered facade. The building features three bays, with the central range projecting forward. A glass canopy, supported by cast iron columns adorned with ornamental rackets, covers the ground floor. The central entrance has been renewed, and there is a shop front to the right that has also been renewed. Above the canopy, the central block is highlighted by sunk coupled lotus leaf pilasters that flank the low-set first-floor windows, which are set in a panel with a roughcast rendered surround. A splayed fluted cornice and blocking course with an eagle in low relief complete the design. The outer bays contain paired tall windows set in roughcast rendered panels.

Inside, the original Art Deco interior remains largely intact, featuring an auditorium with a rear gallery and a stage. The walls are defined by ribbed pilasters, and there are Deco grills over the side doors. The fluted columns supporting the gallery have Neo-Egyptian capitals. The ceiling is adorned with scrolled ribbed beams. Some original doors leading to the auditorium and former bar still exist, featuring stepped grids of glazing, along with original ceiling and wall lights in the auditorium.
