Description

The gate at the entrance to Edenhurst is an elaborate feature designed in the style of a lych gate, constructed with a timber frame and gabled on rubble-stone garden walls. It features turned and shaped uprights at the front and back, with X-pattern bracing on the sides. The gable is supported by tie beams, posts, and struts, and is adorned with fret-cut bargeboards. The roof is tiled and includes ridge cresting. The gate itself is simple, with an upper tier of shaped studs.
