Description

The gate at the entrance to Woodville is an elaborate entrance feature designed in the style of a lych gate. It is timber-framed and gabled, set on rubble-stone garden walls. The structure features turned and shaped uprights at the front and back, with X-pattern bracing on the sides. The gable includes tie beams, posts, and struts, along with fret-cut bargeboards and a tiled roof that has ridge cresting. The wooden gate itself has an upper tier of X-pattern braces.
