Description

Grianllyn Farmhouse is likely from the mid-18th century, although it was later raised in height with the addition of an upper storey. The building has three storeys at the front and one storey with an attic at the rear. It features a three-window range with a central entrance, and each floor has 16-pane sash windows, along with two dormer windows in the roof. The long outshut at the rear, which is mostly the result of alterations likely made in the 19th century, includes a side entrance that appears to provide access to separate labourers’ accommodation, as well as a central door and inserted dormer windows. Inside, there is a curved bressumer over the gable-end fireplace and heavy, chamfered axial beams.
