Description

A 2-storey pebble-dashed house with slate roof. It has pebble-dashed stacks L of centre, at the L end, and external stack in the R-hand gable end. Openings have thin smooth-rendered surrounds painted black, under segmental heads in the ground floor, to the eaves in the 1st floor. The house is in 2 units, single-fronted on the L and 3-window on the R. The larger unit has a central timber-framed gabled porch, with wavy posts in the sides, and a panel door. Windows are 12-pane hornless sashes, except for an added round-headed fixed small-pane window above the entrance. In the L-hand unit is a boarded door and 12-pane horned sash windows on the L side. The L gable end has a small-pane 1st-floor window on the L side. An added lean-to is against the R gable end. Behind are a wing and farm ranges. The main lofted section is whitened brick with slate roof, and has brick and stone lean-to and outshut facing the farmyard of Wern Wen. At the end is a lower whitened stone projection with granary door in the gable end.

Not inspected but RCAHM Wales recorded a stop-chamfered fireplace beam.
