Description
Peulwys is a two-storey building with roughcast render over stone and slate roofs. It features two staggered parallel ranges connected by a short wing. The main frontage has a central entrance with a lintel dated 1892. The entrance door is a studded plank door, dated in nails to 1659, with the initials E over T.V. On either side of the door are three-light stone mullioned windows, and above are two-light mullioned windows in steeply coped gabled dormers, which were added during late 19th-century remodelling. There is a stack projecting from the right-hand gable return and a rear wall stack on the left-hand unit.
The short rear wing has 19th-century timber mullioned and transomed windows with three lights on each floor, and a small stone two-light mullioned window on the first floor, likely dating from the 17th century, located towards the angle with the main range. The parallel rear range features 19th-century fenestration, including three-light wood mullioned and transomed windows with stone lintels and sills.
Inside the rear range, there is a re-sited beam dated 1664 with the initials P over E.M. The main frontage range is primarily from the 17th century and includes a timber-framed partition wall with square panel framing, shallow stops to the chamfered spine beam, and a deep fireplace in the northeast room.
