Description
The Carthouse/Granary at Bodtegir is a 19th-century structure built from local stone rubble, featuring some freestone dressings and an old slate roof. The building has three open fronted cart bays, each with depressed 3-centred arches made of ashlar work, supported by square rubble piers. On the right side, there is a small door that provides access to an enclosed stair leading to the granary on the upper floor, which includes two shuttered opening lights. To the left, there is a later and lower farm building attached to the main structure. Inside, the roof is supported by two central tensioned king post and strut trusses with a single purlin.
