Description
Ffridd is a house constructed from local rubble stonework, which has been colourwashed in both red and white at different times. It features a grouted slate roof with rooflights. The building is single storey and includes a living room, an inner room, and a two-bay cowhouse arranged in a line, set into the slope of the land.
Inside, the living room boasts a large inglenook fireplace in the gable end, which includes a small fire window. At the back on the west side, there is an added scullery. The entrance consists of a boarded door in a chamfered frame that opens into a lobby beside the fireplace. The windows are two-light, six-paned casement wood windows, with the smaller window in the inner room having a drip ledge above it. There are also remains of a corrugated iron bathroom located in the front angle of the scullery. The entrance to the cowhouse is positioned against the upper wall of the house, with a single window on each side.
The interior features a chamfered cross ceiling beam with swept-out stops, and the fire beam is boxed in behind a mantle shelf.
