Description
Nant-Caw-fawr is a farmhouse featuring a lofted stable and additional farm buildings arranged in a rear wing. The main facade, facing south, is built from large squared rubble blocks and has a slate roof that was replaced in the late 20th century. The building is two storeys high with three bays, presenting a nearly symmetrical appearance. It has a central glazed door with a narrow overlight, flanked by 4-pane horned sash windows, the left window being wider, and three shorter similar windows on the first floor. Gable stacks with drip courses are present.
To the left of the house, there is a stable and farm building that is one storey with an attic. The stable occupies the bay closest to the house, while a store is located in the further bay. Both structures have rubble walls and a slate roof, featuring a low wide door for the stable and a door with a small window for the store.
At the rear, there is a long range of single-storey accommodation and farm buildings, some with lofting at the lower end, also topped with a slate roof. A lean-to with a corrugated iron roof is attached to the rear. The domestic accommodation closest to the front block includes a boarded door and uPVC windows. There is a cart door in the next uphill bay, along with two pitching doors leading to the lofts, and a further stable door beyond that. A ground-level door to the loft is located in the gable end.
The property was not accessible at the time of inspection.
