Description
The barn at Hafod Dywyll is a rubble structure with an old slate roof, which has partially collapsed at the eastern gable end. The first three bays from the west date back to around 1600, and the barn has been extended to the east by two additional bays. It is constructed partly from boulders and partly on rock. There are entrances located at the center of each section on the south side, along with loading bays at the west gable end and at the rear.
The roof features tie beams, pegged collars, and overlapping purlins, all made from rough timbers. At the time of inspection in November 1994, the roof had partially collapsed.
