Description
Bronwylfa is a house designed in the Arts and Crafts style, featuring a pebbledashed and painted white exterior with slate roofs. The building is two storeys high and has been extended to the left, where it connects to Bryncrug Cottage. Its design is asymmetrical, with a gabled left wing that projects forward and a main northwest-southeast range. The first bay of the main range is infilled with a single storey section that is covered by an extension of the main roof, which houses the entrance and hallway.
A round-arched open porch, set at an angle, provides shelter for a boldly moulded door that includes a shaped glazed panel. The windows throughout the house are narrow with paned glazing; on the ground floor of the cross wing, there is a 5-light window, while above it, there is a 4-light window. The hall features a 5-light window, and there is a 3-light dormer with a wide cornice on the long roof slope. The end elevation displays a canted flat-roofed bay window on the ground floor, with a 5-light window above it. Additionally, there is a small canted bay window at the rear of the house. The property has two rendered chimney stacks topped with yellow clayware pots. The building was not accessible at the time of inspection.
