Description

The barn at Maes y Meillion is a single-storey, four-bay structure built from well-coursed and roughly dressed boulders, topped with a random slate roof. It features a doorway on the east-facing side, while other openings are blocked or partially blocked, and the apex of the north gable is open. Attached to the northwest corner of the barn is a hammel with a single-pitched roof, which has an open front with three bays facing a yard that includes a gateway in the south wall. Additionally, the barn is connected to a neighbouring cowhouse by a blockwork addition. Inside, the barn has pegged tie-beam trusses with collars.
