Description
The Former Lodge to Glanllyn is a single-storey building with a centralised plan, built in a rectangular shape with a hipped roof. It features a lower porch that projects from the centre of the front elevation, with the porch roof continuing the line of the main roof. The construction is of rubble and slate. A central chimney has a plain cornice and weathercoursing. The front elevation is symmetrical, comprising three bays, with 4-pane late 19th-century casement windows on either side of the porch. There are additional similar windows on the single-bay ends. The porch contains a boarded door within a frame. To the right, set back, is a lower additional block constructed of whitened brick from the late 19th century, topped with a pitched slate roof. This block has a boarded door on the left and a window on the right, similar to those on the main lodge. The interior was not inspected during the survey.
