Description
The barn at Rafel is a rectangular structure built from local rubble, topped with a 20th-century corrugated iron roof. It features two entrances, one on the right and one on the left of a central 20th-century projecting lean-to made of whitened breeze block. The left entrance has a six-pane glazed upper section and an exposed timber lintel, while the right entrance has a boarded door. There are additional openings on the far left and right beyond the entrances; the left side has a six-pane 20th-century iron-framed window, and the right side has a larger loading bay located under the eaves, which is covered with corrugated plastic.
Inside, the barn retains its original four-bay interior, featuring pegged tie-beam trusses with raking struts.
