Description
The stables and coach house at Plas Moel-y-Garnedd is an L-plan, rubble building dating from the 19th century, featuring a slate roof with a chimney that has a cornice band. Each elevation has two bays facing a square yard, and there are gabled dormers providing loft accommodation, which include horned 6-pane sash windows and plain modern bargeboards. The ground floor is covered by an overall slated lean-to canopy. This area has boarded doors in each corner of the range, with a 6-pane sash window to the left and right, respectively. Additionally, there are large openings that were formerly used for coaches, which have folding external boarded doors. Inside, there are modern part-glazed doors alongside adjacent 6-pane sashes that replicate the original design.
