Description

Ffynnongower is a two-storey house constructed from roughly coursed masonry, featuring large stones as quoins and lintels. It has a slate roof with advanced eaves and verges, along with rectangular gable stacks that include dripstones and capping. The main elevation faces Llyn Tegid to the northwest and consists of a three-window range with a central doorway. The door is half glazed and topped by a shallow overlight with a central glazing bar. The metal-framed windows have small panes and a central opening casement.

On the left (northeast) gable, there is a single-storey lean-to addition that includes a small paned casement window. The rear of the main part of the house features small paned timber casements on the first floor. The ground floor is mostly obscured by a full-width single-storey lean-to addition, which has an entrance in the northeast wall and a single modern light in the southeast wall. The lean-to addition at the northeast gable includes a doorway on the right (northeast) and a large timber casement on the left.

Inside, the house has been somewhat modernised but retains its original ground plan. The front door leads into a small hallway with stairs rising to the rear and doorways to the ground floor rooms. The room on the left retains an exposed ceiling with rough chamfered cross beams and joists.
