Description

The west range of the farmyard at Tan-y-bwlch is a structure that includes stabling and loose-boxes. It was built using in-situ concrete and features slate roofs. The building has five raised and gabled dormers with deep oversailing eaves, which are typical of the estate's architectural style. On the ground floor, there are five enlarged openings that have replaced the original arrangement. The central section of the building is lofted, while the northern end is designed as a dwelling, likely for the farm manager. This section has rendered walls and an external chimney stack on the northern gable end, with the entrance door located to the right. The windows are made of timber. The west range is separated from the northern range by a driftway.

Inside, there are various cross walls made of concrete, along with some surviving cast iron stable fittings made by Thomas & Co, Oswestry.
