Description
Craigbach is a cottage built around 1845, with later extensions added in the 19th century. It is a two-storey, three-bay structure featuring a flush added bay on the right. The cottage is constructed from snecked rubble and topped with a slate roof that has oversailing eaves. The main section of the building is symmetrical, with a central entrance that is stepped up. The entrance features an early 20th-century part-glazed door and a four-pane rectangular fanlight above it. A wooden porch canopy with a pediment is supported by simple brackets.
On the ground floor, there are large sash windows with eight-pane glazing above plain lower sashes, which have been replaced. These windows have narrow plastered architraves and whitened reveals. The first floor has similar, but smaller windows, with six-pane upper sections. The added one-window bay on the right has identical windows. A plain chimney with weather-coursing indicates the division between the main block and the extension, which is further highlighted by a masonry break on the facade.
