Description
Tai Uncorn is a pair of cottages built in the 19th century. The structure is a square, single-storey building made of rubble block with shaved corners and rock foundations on the northeast side. It features a pyramidal slate roof with rounded corners and over-sailing eaves, along with a large, squat chimney stack that has weather-coursing and a cornice, topped with modern cement flaunching. Originally, there were entrances on the south face (two) and one each on the east and west faces. The south entrance is now obscured by a later 19th-century single-storey extension with a pitched slate roof, while modern doors have been added to the other entrances. The window openings beside the entrances are simple and fitted with modern glazing.
The interiors have been modernised, but there was previously ladder access to an attic sleeping loft, according to information from the owner.
