Description
Tai Uncorn is a pair of cottages built in a square shape, featuring a single storey and constructed from rubble blocks with shaved corners. The building has rock foundations on the northeast side. It is topped with a pyramidal slate roof that has rounded corners and over-sailing eaves. A large, squat chimney stack with weather-coursing and a cornice sits atop the roof, which has modern cement flaunching.
Originally, there were entrances on the south face (two) and one each on the east and west faces. The southern entrance is now obscured by a later 19th-century single-storey extension that has a pitched slate roof. The remaining entrances have modern doors, and there are simple window openings beside these entrances that feature modern glazing.
The interiors of the cottages have been modernised, although there was previously ladder access to an attic sleeping loft, as noted by the owner.
