Description
Dol-Frwynog Farmhouse is a 2-storey building constructed of rubble with an old slate roof. The south gable end is built into the slope of the hill. The front features two windows, with an end chimney on the left that has weather coursing. There is a later central chimney with capping and weather coursing, which creates a lobby-entry plan. The entrance is slightly off-centre and has a boarded door, flanked by 4-pane sash windows, with small 4-pane casements above them under the eaves. To the right, there is a later rubble lean-to with old slates that maintains a good undulation, hipped to the rear where it connects to the long rear roof pitch of the cottage. This section includes a low catslide extension, with a smaller stepped-up catslide section to the right at the chimney gable end, featuring weather coursing at the intersection. The east face of the extension has two modern windows and an entrance with a stable door.
Inside, beamed ceilings are visible in both ground-floor rooms, along with a large fireplace and bressummer on the left.
