Description
Lower Barn at Cefndeuddwr is a 19th-century rubble barn featuring a rubble gable parapet on the west side, set on a rubble plinth. It has a medium-pitched slate roof. The entrance is located on the west gable end and includes a stone lintel inscribed with the date and initials MN, which likely stand for Mary Nanney. There is a modern stable door at this entrance, along with a ventilation slit above it and another slit on the north side. The east gable apex has a loading bay with a projecting slatestone lintel, a 19th-century pegged doorcase, and a boarded door. Inside, the barn has a three-bay layout supported by crude pegged collar trusses.
