Description
The gates, gatepiers, and railings at the main driveway entrance to Coed-y-Celyn are notable features of fine ironwork. The crescent-shaped railings are adorned with bands of interlace and pointed uprights topped with trefoil cresting. The structure includes dwarf support walls with stone piers that have outer ball finials. There are three openwork iron gatepiers, each featuring acanthus capitals and scrolled lamp pedestals. The entrance comprises double ironwork gates and a separate pedestrian gate to the north. It is worth noting that the middle gatepier is missing its acanthus capital and lamp finial, and the three lamps are broken.
