Description

The Telford Milestone is a Grade II listed structure made from dressed Anglesey limestone. It features a shallow triangular head and raking chamfered sides. There is a cast iron inset plate with white lettering on a black background that reads: HOLY- / HEAD / 45 / C. CURIG / 5M - 5 F / CERNIOGE / 8M – 6F. Below the plate, there is a benchmark on the stone. The milestone has been relocated upwards from its original position due to the construction of a railway bridge.
