Description
The Agricultural Building at Royal Farm is a two-storey structure made of rubble with slate roofs, dating from the 19th century. It features a gable-fronted barn at the center, with hipped-roofed stabling that is slightly set back and stepped down on either side, as well as cattle accommodation at both ends. The center has a loft door and a modern window, along with a boarded door next to a broad opening that has a modern cement lintel.
The three-bay flanking ranges have corbelled eaves and mostly blocked loft openings, with boarded doors leading to the inner bays. On the ground floor, both sides have broad, altered openings to the left of windows, which feature small-pane glazing and massive slate-stone lintels. At the right end, the building extends with an additional animal shelter, and to the left, there is a stepped-down five-bay range with a hipped roof, along with an altered barn beyond.
