Description
5 St George's Terrace is an early 19th-century cottage built from rubble, with alterations made in the late 19th century. The cottage has one-and-a-half storeys and features a slate roof that is hipped to the northeast, along with a plain end chimney on the southwest side that has weather coursing. The front, which faces northwest, has a plain entrance with an advanced projection to the left and a slightly recessed boarded door next to it, topped by a 2-pane rectangular fanlight. At the rear, which faces the garden, there are two windows featuring late 19th-century designs; the ground floor has a 4-pane recessed casement window, and to the right, there is an entrance obscured by a modern corrugated plastic extension. Above, there are two gabled dormers that break the eaves, each with 4-pane recessed casement windows, triangular top-lights, and plain bargeboards.
