Description
Nos 1 and 2 Goronwy Terrace are a pair of two-storey houses that form the front of the group. Originally designed as a five-window range, one window has been long-blocked. The houses are symmetrically arranged and feature characteristic long rubble slabs with a pronounced overhang on the slate roofs. The rear wall and axial stacks are made of well-squared stonework. A slate-roofed verandah, supported by wooden posts and decorated with scalloped edges at the eaves, runs the length of the front elevation. Each house has an offset doorway with an overlight, flanked by outer 12-pane sash windows, and narrow 4-pane sash windows closely spaced in the centre. The upper windows have been restored to their original 12-pane sash form. The wing alongside the footpath now contains houses 3 and 4.
