Description
Ashgrove is a single-storey, three-bay cottage built in the mid to later 19th century, specifically after 1848. The exterior is made of painted rubble with narrow projecting cills.
On the east elevation facing the street, there is a central door with a letterbox fanlight, flanked by windows in the outer bays. The south elevation features a gabled and blank wall. The cottage has 8-pane glazing in timber sash and case windows, and it includes painted rubble gablehead stacks. The roof is covered with grey slates and has a red sandstone ridge, along with two small rooflights on the east pitch. Additionally, there is a rubble coped, squared rubble garden wall surrounding the property.
