Description

23 High Street is a shop and house that stands three storeys tall and features three windows. The exterior is finished in scribed stucco with a slate roof and has a roughcast stack on the left side. The middle and upper storeys have windows that were replaced in the late 20th century but are set in earlier openings. On the lower storey, there is a 19th-century shop front supported by four slender cast iron posts, which hold up a plain wooden fascia. The central door, which has been replaced, is half-lit and includes an overlight that has been painted over. Flanking the doorway are three-light windows with thin wooden mullions and a transom.
