Description

Snowdon Wharf, located at the northeast end by Britannia Bridge, features a wharf built on bedrock. The structure includes an L-shaped section, which is the earliest part of the wharf, and a later section that is 130 meters long, running from northeast to southwest. Both sections are constructed with battered walls made of large, roughly dressed stone blocks arranged in regular courses. The northeast end has a later stone parapet. At the angle south of the Ffestiniog Railway station, the road is supported by a concrete beam. The earlier section of the wharf is recessed at the end and includes stone steps. At the southwest end, there is a short return wall leading into the bank.
