Description

10 and 11 John Street are two-storey, double-fronted buildings made of whitewashed or colourwashed rubble stone, topped with a slate roof that is hipped at the front and features a very long rendered stack, possibly with eight shafts. The central area has two doors with a blank plaque above on the first floor, and there is one range of plate glass sash windows on each side. The side walls are blank next to the main front but have a one-window range house with an outer door, suggesting that they may have originally been separate houses that are now combined with numbers 10 and 11. The side house has a 4-pane sash window on each floor and an added porch that obscures the door.
