Description
1 Ogwen Terrace is a three-storey building constructed with coursed squared slate in long blocks, featuring sandstone dressings. It has a slate roof and roughcast end stacks, with the left stack shared with the adjoining No 2. The building has a two-window range, with 20th-century hardwood four-pane windows on the upper floors, which are adorned with sandstone slab lintels and slate sills on the second floor. A continuous slate sill band extends across to No 2 at the first floor level. The ground floor has a 20th-century shopfront designed to imitate a 19th-century style, featuring a three-light shop window on each side of a central door. Two ornate lion-mask brackets are present, resembling those shown in an old photograph of the adjoining No 2, suggesting they may have been reused.
