Description
10 and 11 John Street are two-storey, double-fronted buildings constructed from whitewashed or colourwashed rubble stone, topped with a slate roof that is hipped at the front and features a very long rendered stack, possibly with eight shafts. The main facade has two doors positioned centrally, with a blank plaque above on the first floor, and one range of plate glass sash windows on each side. The side walls are initially blank next to the main front but then include a one-window range house with an outer door, suggesting that these may have originally been separate houses that have since been combined with numbers 10 and 11.
The buildings are colourwashed, with number 10 featuring a 20th-century door and overlight, along with a small upper window inserted to the right of the plaque. The side house has 20th-century windows and a door.
